Product Review: Stovetop Smoker

Recently, I mentioned that CSN Stores offered me the opportunity to review an item from one of their stores. I selected the Cameron's Stovetop Smoker from Grill Goods.

My smoker arrived via UPS and I was super excited. I opened the box and found a beautiful stainless steel contraption. The smoker came with instructions, recipes, and wood chips. I have hickory, cherry, alder, and oak wood chips. The smoker is primarily for smoking smaller items, you definitely couldn't put a whole hog in there. It's perfect for pork loin. However, the instructions do give tips for smoking larger items...you make a tin foil tent.

Now, when I told some colleagues that I was getting a stove top smoker they asked me what I was planning to do with all that smoke in the kitchen. This hadn't even occurred to me and I am happy to report that it wasn't an issue. The smoker is designed to keep the smoke inside the unit. A little bit leaks out but not much. The smoker also doesn't use a lot of wood chips. I kept the kitchen window open just in case and everything went perfectly.

I just smoked a pork loin and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend this smoker to any city slickers out there looking for some homemade BBQ flavor. My next experiment will be smoking a pork butt and making shredded BBQ.

CSN Stores was great. The shopping and checkout process was super easy. My product arrived quite quickly. I'll definitely be using CSN Stores again.

Star Rating: for the smoker - 5 out or 5; for CSN Stores - 5 out of 5
